AFS Greater Charlotte is looking for host families for SY17-18. Incoming international students must register with CMS by July 1, so quick action is needed. Students from Germany, Italy, Brazil, Sweden, and Thailand are on the list. Profiles are available. Hosting may be for partial or full school year. Bon Odori 2017 will be held August 5th in the Wells Fargo Atrium in Uptown Charlotte. The Taiko drum team from Waddell Language Academy, a SMHS feeder school, will perform. More info on the official FB page.

The CMS Magnet Lottery is underway. Phase 1 ends Feb 14th at 10am. Other important dates are here. SMHS Principal, Dr. Furr, is visiting all Middle Schools in the feeder pattern and will set up dates for others.
